Harsil is a small village town situated on the banks of the Bhagirathi river in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, India. Nestled at an altitude of 2600 meters in the heart of Uttarakhand Himalayas, discover SnowPOD - Harsil (Snow wonder of Uttarakhand) an igloo eco-glamping resort, with a premier riverfront located in HARSIL, where each igloo is uniquely designed to combine ecology and luxury.
Harsil is famous amongst trekkers and nature lovers for its beautiful snowcapped mountain ranges accompanied by the Deodar forests, gushing Bhagirathi river, exotic birds, and high standing mountain peaks.
Enjoy the panoramic view of the snowcapped mountains from the first ever luxury igloos in India, the igloos are sturdy structures made up of pure pinewood, that look exactly like an igloo.
Snowpod igloos are located within an apple orchard on the banks of the Bhagirathi River, surrounded by snowpeaks and Deodar trees, at the entry of the Harsil main market near the Harsil helipad.

BY 2019 70% OF OUR HERBS AND VEGETABLE NEEDS WILL BE MET BY OUR ORGANIC GARDEN
We have started by sowing a profusion of herbs , local vegetables like radish, carrots, potatoes, varieties of lettuces and also English vegetables like cauliflower, zucchini, broccoli etc. in the organic garden.

We reached snowpod in the evening, the fact that each pod has a private deck was perfect for us as we wanted to see the miky way and other constillations in all their glory and snowpod made this possible. As me and my friend are photographers we were smitten with the flora and fauna of Chopta and couldn’t stop clicking. We have now booked a trip with our students to snowpod to commence our photography classes.
