Kanan Beach Resort - Kerala, the natural and homely Ayurvedic beach resort in God’s own Kerala in the northern district of Kasaragod, stays in between Kanhangad and Nileshwar. Kerala which is situated in the southern part of India is globally famous for its scenic beauty of greenery. This state is very rich in nature, beautiful for its heavenly ambiance of green surroundings and charming beauty of water making it paradise over land. ACCOMMODATION
Authentic traditional Kerala style architecture of the cottages and clubhouse’s. Having wooden roof with special quality of Mangalore tiles, and the best irul Wood is used for good finishing of the doors. The floors are well finished with granite. Following are the Cottage types.

“A gem in Nileshwar!"
We have stayed many times in Nileshwar but 1st time in Kanan Beach Resort. The resort has a garden view & sea view cottages & even a Cottage with 2 bedrooms for families. The cottages are large like a Bungalow with a sitting room cum utilities, an outdoor verandah & a luggage room beside your bedroom & bathroom. The sitting room has foldable doors which can be opened or closed. The food was very tasty with a la carte breakfast & a variety of seafood for lunch & dinner. The staff is very courteous as is the manager Prakash. The resort is owned by a charming French couple Martin & Anna who we had the good fortune of meeting. They have retained the authenticity of the place & haven't made it too commercial. The resort overlooks an unspoilt gorgeous Nileshwar beach with amazing sunsets. There is a cute little swimming pool too.

Covid travel ban cancelled our flights in 2021, but Omicron could not stop us in 2022. After no travel for 2 years, it was so lovely to be back in Kanan again, for 4 weeks, our 9th visit. The green environment hadn't changed, the sea, the empty beach, the pool, the bungalows, the delicious food, and the wonderful staff (particularly Zakesh and Manoo in the restaurant) , all still there.
As soon as we returned to England end Feb, we booked for 2023 !

“Stay at Kanan Beach Resort”
Clear and clean beach. Perfect if you want to enjoy beach.
Restaurant and room service is good.
Food is less spicy.
Cottages are really spacious and comfortable.
Only problem is mosquito...but resort provides Odomos cream in each room. Our room had flying frog..but one call and helper team came and removed frog from washroom.
Good facility is given at entry of each cottage to wash foot/sand in case you are coming from beach..
Greenery every where..and nice hibiscus flowers in most of resorts...
Beach is empty ..only you and few more from same resort...you can really enjoy beach....
