Day 1- Stay at Mukteshwar – Meal included - Dinner

Arrival at Mukteshwar. 330 Kms / 8 Hrs drive from Delhi and 68 Kms / 2 Hrs drive from the Kathgodam railways station. Mukteshwar is at a height of 8000 ft. ASL. The Last 60 Kms is a beautiful hilly drive with scenic views of the deep valleys, mountain lakes, fresh water hill streams and if lucky some wildlife. Relax & Refresh. Evening at Leisure by the Bon-Fire. Over Night at Mukteshwar.

Day2 – Stay at Mukteshwar – Meal included – Breakfast and Dinner

Wake up early morning to experience the awe-inspiring sunrise from behind the Himalayan Ranges. Have a satiating breakfast & head off for a local site seeing tour of the Mukteshwar Township where you get to visit the Jim Corbetts' Bungalow, Famous Chauthi Jaali Cliff with a straight drop of approx. 2000 Ft. and The Century old Shiva Temple known as the MUKTESHWAR MAHADEV. The adventurous few can also opt. for a Rock Climbing / Rappelling / Zip line session at the Cliff. Return for Lunch to the Resort. After Lunch Relax at the Resort & feel free to use the Club area with a TT Table, Fooze Ball Table, Carrom Board, Library and some board games or the enthusiastic few could even opt for a soft stroll with our guides into the neighbouring forests . In the evening relax by the Bon-Fire and share your respective memories for the day. Over Night at Mukteshwar.

Day3- Stay at Jim Corbett National Park - Meals Included Dinner

Morning at leisure, after breakfast you drive out for the Jim Corbett National Park 145 Kms / 4 Hrs via Haldwani - Kaladhungi. En-route you can visit The Jim Corbett’s Museum and The Corbett fall. You may also drive via Nainital and stop for some time at Nainital lake for sightseeing (optional). By evening you arrive at Jim Corbett National Park. In the evening you can explore the indoor games / activities at the resort or attend the evening programs of the resort like Kumaoni folk dance performances, a video on the wildlife or at the bon-fire with a guitarist. Today you could also plan to reach Corbett National Park before lunch so that you could try and go for the afternoon safaris by jeep which start at approx. 2:30pm. You may also visit Dhangarhi museum and Garjia Devi Temple in the evening.

Mukteshwar, known as the fruit basket of Kumaon, is a sleepy little Himalayan hamlet perched atop a height of approx. 8000 Ft ASL, providing scenic views of deep wooded valleys, the Himalayan range, sunset and sunrise panoramas, dense forests great for bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts. You enjoy village walks, bon-fire evenings, fun adventure and outdoor activities like rock climbing, rappelling, trekking, forest / nature walks, forest and stream picnics. A centuries old Lord Shiva temple, revered by locals and worshipers from all over sits at the peak of Mukteshwar. Mukteshwar is also home to a veterinary research institute which was established by the British about 150 years ago. It’s called the I.V.R.I (Indian Veterinary Research Institute) and it is the main reason why 20-25 sq. Kms of Mukteshwar has been conserved for all these years and is rich in flora and fauna.

Weather: The winters (November-March) is very cold and it snows Minimum temperature can go to as low as - 6 DegC.
Summers (April to Mid-June) are very pleasant, offering majestic views. The temperatures during this period are comfortable with maximums settling around 28°C and minimum’s around 12°C, on an average. Monsoon season is from July to September. The place receives good amounts of rain during the period.

Closest airport: Technically Pantnagar (90 Kms / 3 Hrs) but realistically the only option is Delhi airport (390 Kms / 9 Hrs)

Railway Station: Kathgodam railway station, Haldwani railway station and Lal Kuan railway station.

Best time to visit: April – June end and October until mid-November. Beyond mid November until March it becomes very cold.

Generally spoken language: Hindi and Kumaoni and basic English is understood and spoken by the hospitality professionals.

Altitude: 2200 Mtrs ASL approx..

Jim Corbett National Park

State: Uttarakhand

One of India's largest, oldest and the most popular Tiger reserves - The Jim Corbett National Park. Sprawled over 1300+ sq Kms of dense bio-diverse forest with the Ramganga and Kosi rivers flowing through it this is actually several different forests in one, ever changing with the changing seasons. Only designated areas in the 520 sq.Kms., out of the total area, are open to tourists. Thera are five zones named Dhikala, Bijrani, Jhirna, Domunda and Sonanandi. This tiger reserve is a haven for wild life enthusiasts. 600+ species of birds, apart from the elephants, tigers, leopards, jackals, sambhar deer, spotted deer, hog deer and more. Travelers visiting the park can enjoy jeep safaris with guides / naturalists. Enjoy your stay at a jungle resort bordering the fenced boundary of the reserve.

Weather: The weather in the park is temperate compared to most other protected areas of India. The temperature may vary from 5 °C (41 °F) to 30 °C (86 °F) during the winter and some mornings are foggy. Summer temperatures normally do not rise above 42 °C (104 °F). The park receives heavy rainfall during monsoons (July – September end) and remains closed around this period.
